During the early 90’s the 486 ruled all. But when things started progressing so quickly, it wasn’t enough and Overdrive CPUs and such addons became quite popular. Also following in the Macintosh’s footsteps came all-in-one case designs for some PCs. This is an overview of the Compaq Presario 425 from 1993, a 486sx processor-based PC, as well 486 and Overdrive chipped machines in general. Also compares its speed to the 386 range of machines. Footage of: Windows 3.1 PFS WindowsWorks Symantec Game Pack Test Drive III The Passion DOOM Duke Nukem 3D Wolfenstein 3D This is a response to some requests for footage of some of my systems “in action” instead of just a review. But that would be boring I think – so lots of facts, commentary and history as well. You can still read up on the official HP site about this particular machine: h10025.www1.hp.com

Part 1 of 2: Classic Game Room reviews TRANSFORMERS WAR FOR CYBERTRON for Xbox 360 (also for Playstation 3 PS3 and PC). Other variants of the game are available for Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii. From Hasbro, Activision and High Moon Studios comes the best Transformers video game ever made. Full of awesome 1987 Transformers the Movie (the animated film) references and G1 characters complete with amazing action and multiplayer mayhem. Transformers will not disappoint if you’re into Transformers, especially the old school generation 1 transformers from the TV cartoons and Marvel comic books. This CGR review of Transformers War for Cybertron has gameplay from Transformers War for Cybertron on Xbox 360 (similar to PS3 and PC) showing Transformers game play in HD action.

Classic Game Room HD reviews COMPUTER GOLF! for the Magnavox Odyssey 2 video game console. This early video game from 1978 is similar to Golf on the Atari 2600 but with slight graphical improvements and moderately better controls. It is a fun game to play by yourself and compete for par on the 9-hole golf course, or play with up to four of your friends! Fore! Ha ha, so silly. Fo’ real! Shizzle, you gonna dig da game if yo’ into Maggie O2 sh-t. Straight up, homie cold knock ‘da ballz in ‘da holez. You play as a blue man with a golf club that swings in a counter clockwise motion and doubles as a samurai sword if the ball needs to go down and left (overhead chop of course). All Joking aside this game is tops for 1978 in the quality department and worth a look if you like retro sports gaming from the 1970’s on the Magnavox Odyssey 2. Classic Game Room is the ultimate retro reviewer reviewing games from 1978 with respect for the hard work that went into them at the dawn of the video game industry. The Magnavox Odyssey 2 was known as the Philips Videpac G-7000 in Europe and most likely had Computer Golf! as well!

Tired of all those lists of the “worst” games that are actually just commonly-known sub par games? I am. So I made this list. These aren’t just “mediocre” games… this is my worst of the worst. This is the top 17 worst PC games that I’ve ever seen, and that I own. I actually collect these games somewhat, seeking out the worst crap as a matter of twisted pride and a weird guilty pleasure of perverted taste in games. Games were chosen of basis of effort made vs end result, bugginess, lack of gameplay and/or fun, hype vs disappointment, and personal preference in comparison to other similar games. Why 17? Because it’s an odd number, very odd.

First came Duke Nukem, who really started the whole protagonist-with-a-personality trend. But who remembers Lo Wang? Dare I ask, who wants some wang?! Shadow Warrior took all of the humor and ridiculous antics of Duke 3D and took them to the East, shown in this review of: Shadow Warrior for MS-DOS computers

Our first game review in which we mostly talk about Duke Nukem 3D, but also a little bit about NAM, Quake and Lance Bass. Hope you like it. For comments, questions and suggestions email: abs@wemsd.net featuring: – weird sound – awkward acting – bad editing but it’s a first, so who cares?
